About Me …

Hi, I’m Piotr — and ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the night sky. When I was a kid, there was no internet, so my gateway to the stars was the local library. I’d spend hours flipping through astronomy books, photocopying the most interesting pages, and carefully filing them in a folder — my own little “space archive.” It was magical.

Then, as life usually goes, school, work, and all the busyness of growing up slowly pushed astronomy to the side. My telescope dreams got packed away and stayed there… for about three decades.

Fast forward to today — my teenage daughter, out of pure curiosity, asked me about my old hobby and encouraged me to get back into it. That one small conversation reignited something I thought was long gone.

Now, I’m diving back into astronomy and astrophotography with the same sense of wonder I had as a child — only this time with slightly better equipment and a lot more coffee.

This site and blog are my personal record of that journey — a beginner’s exploration of the universe. I’ll share what I learn, explain things in simple terms, and hopefully help (or at least entertain) others who are just starting out too.

So… let the journey begin.
